     Thomas Runciman died on 21 Nov 1866 Drury, WKT, NZ, at age 68; Funeral Notice: On Wednesday, November 21st at Drury, Mr Thomas Runciman, age 66 years. The funeral will leave his residence, at Drury tomorrow, Friday at 2pm. Friends will please accept this invitation.5,9,10 He was buried on 23 Nov 1866.9
From Jewel's web site: "It has been disputed whether Thomas R. who came to NZ on "Nimrod" to Korararea in 1839 was a cousin or brother of George, but a page from James and Margaret RUNCIMAN's family bible seems to confirm they were brothers."11
